The Introduction to Service-Learning Pedagogy session is part of the Service-Learning Institute which offers a series of workshops to enable the participants to understand service-learning as a high impact pedagogy that both elevates learning and strengthens community.

In the Introduction to Service-Learning Pedagogy workshop, participants will develop familiarity with the pedagogy of service-learning as a form of experiential education.

  •  All levels of instructors in post-secondary educational institutions
  • Teaching Assistants in post-secondary educational institutions
  • Ph.D. holders aspiring for faculty positions in post-secondary educational institutions
  • Staff in charge of supporting faculty in building service-learning partnerships in post-secondary institutions
  • Staff of not-for-profit organizations seeking university student volunteers/interns
  • Administrators aiming to strengthening their institutions’ relationships with the community
  • Educational leaders interested in advancing the civic mission of higher education
